Hello and welcome to my blog. I've not done a blog before but love to talk so this seems a natural move forward. I've been painting for a number of years now, begiinning like so many of us with watercolours and progressing from there. Each time I sell work I use the proceeds to purchase more materials or to attend a local course of tution in a medium. I don't want to be taught how to paint, I've developed my own ( sometimes described as Unique : ) style...not sure if thats flattering or not!) but do like to learn the basic techniques of how to use a new meduim in order to get the best effect. I'm fortunate also to be a book reviwer for the arts section of SEARCHPRESS BOOKS www.searchpress.com so get lots of new ideas as new books arrive. Those of you with IT people in the family will know about the constant quest for something " just a bit better..." I also belong to several other online galleries, having learned from experience with Minigallery that to be on just one leaves you stranded when they pull the plug without any reason! Pnce bitten twice shy - it happened to sevaral members, many like myself who had been there almost since its inception. Still, its all a learning curve : ) I'll try to add more of my works over the next few days and update this regularly.
