Deborah Ratcliffe
Textile Design specialist Deborah Ratcliffe. produces original Acrylic, Mixed Media, and Textile Artwork. She has her own design label for one off designs for Soft Furnishing Accessories and Fashion Accessories. Every product is an original design and is guaranteed never to be repeated.
Deborah was trained in the UK at Bradford College gaining a BA(hons) in Textile Design and Business in 2001. She has exhibited a variety of works, including wall hangings and fashion accessories, at New Designers London 2001, Maderia Knit & Stitch Harrogate 2002, Creative Fibre Hamilton 2007, Colour Me Orange Ngaruawahia 2007. Deborah has also worked on one off commissions and is currently exhibiting work and an art tutor at Twin Rivers, Ngaruawahia., New Zealand. the UK
Fully trained as a weaver, much of her designs incorporate weave design, handloom and jacquard. Surface pattern is a must in all of Deborah's work, rich vivid colour, high quality, energetic, and originality. Using methods of layering, printing, dye application, embroidery, applique, weaving, multi media, Deborah creates rich, vivid, and textural art.
