Gaynor Lewis is an artist living in Derbyshire, UK. Mostly self taught, she gleans guidance from her uncle, an award winning wildlife artist whilst currently working on courses that compliment her work - animals and art.
" I create my art with intent to immortalise the essence of life, the fear of the unknown, the beauty of life and the confusion of unusual." Enchanted by the magic created when art materials and techniques come together, Gaynor Lewis focuses on subjects that inspire her through their form, colour and/or character. She is passionate about wildlife and often wildlife plays a part in her artwork. Alternative themes also play a part and her illustrative work such as the TiK ToK series are popular, with exhibitions sometimes dedicated solely to him. Gaynor has exhibited locally as well as internationally and is a licensed artist with AMI. Current courses are Animal Care Diploma and Pet Portraiture Diploma. " I paint the subjects that I enjoy painting, that I connect with and hope that the connection is passed along to the viewers of my work."
