I am a full time artist and I work in all media and all manner of styles and subjects. I love the adrenalin rush of seeing each work take shape, trying new things all the time.
The fact that viewers and purchasers of my works get pleasure from them also is both a bonus and a delight for me. It still gives me immense pleasure when someone wishes to purchase something I have created and bring it into their home.
I am inspired by the Scottish and Irish countryside; with its wonderful changing light and seasons, stunning coastlines and dramatic, historic landscapes. I continue to I have an enduring love of florals, and adore creating colourful textural contemporary works that make people want to reach out and touch them. I am determined to keep working in all these styles and resist any temptation to follow only one course of work. I also work extensively on glass and have some work currently on display at The Auld Kirk Museum, Kirkintilloch
I have been a gallery artist with Ealain Gallery, Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire (www.ealaingallery.co.uk ) for a couple of years now and am showing work with them all around Scotland. I am delighted to report that I am exhibiting a number of paintings and glassworks in the newly opened -The Tower Gallery, Cumberland Close, Kirriemuir, Angus (www.thetowergallery.co.uk) and would like to take this opportunity wish them every sucess in their new venture. I will be exhibiting 3 new works in the GALLERY 23, Parnie St, Glasgow, Spring Show - which begins on Friday 4th April. I am currently showing Pastel work in Ian McNab Gallery.62 High Street, Dunblane, Stirlingshire.
I have also recently joined the InArt Contemporary Artists Cooperative. I will be participating in various events throughout Scotland this year - for further details on these please visit events section and see below.
